I got a laptop for school, but I haven't used many of its "portable" capabilities since its purchase. It is a Hewlett-Packard notebook. A recent (that is, if February 2004 can be considered recent) desktop snapshot of my desktop can be found here [240 KB].

The laptop is, of course, replete with USB 2.0 hookups, 54G wireless built-in, Ethernet, S-Video out, and the other usual laptop connectors. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a Firewire jack. I may have to buy a Firewire PCMCIA card eventually, so that I can input video to this computer.
